Calling all performers, creators and visual artists!
Ramshackle Theatre is looking for performing and visual artists to be a part of our annual Theatre in the Bush event on September 20th, 2025.
If you have a concept or an idea for an interactive art piece, drag performance, straight up storytelling… or really any kind of performance, then send us a note and let’s talk!
We are also looking for visual artists to create installation pieces for Theatre in the Bush.

Please make contact by Sunday August 10th and we will get back to everyone by August 17th.
All participating artists will receive an honorarium.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday September 20th.
Tickets for Theatre in the Bush will be released in early-September so stay tuned!

What is Theatre in the Bush?
Set deep in Yukon’s boreal forest, on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwächän Council, Theatre in the Bush takes the ritual and mad magic of a bush party and distills it into an interactive, multidisciplinary event.
Against a backdrop of scrubby spruce, pine and willow, audiences are led through the woods to see original performances that artists cook up over the course of a week.
Featuring an all-Yukon line-up, Theatre in the Bush offers playful, daring performances mixed with a healthy dose of folksy Yukon charm.
Past shows have featured: synchronized swimmers, interactive sound installations, epic puppet tales, science experiments, drag performances, build your own clay creations and many other charming, irreverent acts brimming with creativity and Yukon ingenuity.
